Homeschool Buyers Co-op Review

Homeschool Buyers Co-op

The Homeschool Buyer Co-op is a free homeschooling organization for both new and veteran homeschoolers. Here are some reasons why I love this website:

1. Co-op membership is free and confidential
2. Entitles homeschooling families to discounts from hundreds of educational suppliers. The Co-op also sponsors "Group Buys" for curriculum packages that can save homerschooling families lots of money.
3. They have a lot of free information, such as databases of free curriculum, field trips, and educational contests and scholarships.
A)Field trips: They have more field trips than I could have imagined! Just click on the field trip link, select your state, enter your zip code and search radius, then click search. It will show you tons of field trips in your area such as: Museums, Raptor Centers, Zoo's, Theater's, Art Centers, Railroad Museums, Sculpture Gardens, Performing Arts Centers, State Capitol, History Centers, Houses/Mansions with History, Caves, Libraries, Farm's, Florists, Music Museums, Aquariums, Nature Centers, and more. You can even add a field trip if you don't see it listed.
B)Contests & Scholarships: Writing contests, American Legion contests, and a different variety of scholarships to choose from.
4. You can create a free homeschool ID for your kids or have them make it for a small fee. (I chose to make my own and they turned out amazing!)
5. Once you sign up for your membership you start earning points. These points can be used towards discounts to buy things. The points you earn are called "Smart Points". You receive smart points when you start doing things like refer friends, when you buy things, or when you post your referral link on your blog or website. (If you have a blog/website). You can spend your Smart Points in the "Smart Points Reward Center" to get award winning curriculum.
6. Free webinars.
7. Summer fun reading program for your kids. Each child gets a chance to win for every hour that they read. They have weekly drawings, Gold rush prizes, and a grand prize winner! Contest ends September 1st.
8. Homeschool classifieds: Buy, sell or swap: books, curriculum, and educational items.
9. Homeschool conferences: They list the type of conference, the state, and the date. Find your local conference.
10. Deals of the day and Deals of the week: Amazing deals you can't pass up!
11. They offer Homeschool Planet: It is a full featured online planner. It's an easy to use all in one planner.
12. Free writing tips: Julie Bogart shares her tips from her popular 'Brave Writer' writing curriculum. You can also sign up for Julie's Daily Tip Newsletter on the 'Brave Writer' website. (link through HSBC).

There are so many other things that I love about this website. I hope you take the time to check them out and start your free membership. This site is great for parents who are just getting started with homeschooling and the long haulers. It really has something for everyone. It is a co-op that you will want to tell everyone about!
You can like them on Facebook, Subscribe on Youtube, follow on Twiter, or recommend them on google g+.
